I\u2019m still trying to recover from thanksgiving only it\u2019s already after the new year.<\/p>\n<p>How did this happen?<\/p>\n<p>Intentions I had flew out the window. There was sickness, doctor appointments, poor attempts at keeping up with laundry, getting meals cooked at the last minute and a multitude of other things that I had planned that were rearranged for me. Ugh.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">How do you deal with interruptions and plans gone awry?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am learning that there\u2019s always \u201cMa\u00f1ana\u201d. Or maybe not. Either way things will either get done or they won&#8217;t. When I was younger I stressed over everything that didn\u2019t go to plan.<\/p>\n<p>Interferences were not allowed in my house.<\/p>\n<p>Ooohh. How I made everyone miserable along with myself!! I apologize here and now.<\/p>\n<p>Today I face selling a house, getting finances in order to do the taxes, a new diet plan started by myself and husband (#whole30), the demolition and refurb of the kitchen and several other things that are hanging over my head. How in the world?? January will be over before I realize it and there may be nothing to show for it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">How will you spend the first month of 2018? Making plans or just living each day?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I feel like Job- honest and hopeful:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><em>My days have passed,\u00a0my plans are shattered. Yet the desires of my heart turn night into day; in the face of the darkness light is near<\/em><\/strong><strong>.\u00a0<\/strong><em>Job 17:11-12<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are some very good instructions regarding plans in scripture:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Many are the <strong>plans\u00a0<\/strong>in a person\u2019s heart, but it is the Lord\u2019s purpose that prevails. (Proverbs 19:21)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Plans\u00a0<\/strong>are established by seeking advice; so if you wage war, obtain guidance. (Proverbs 20:18)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333399;\">The <strong>plan<\/strong>s of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. (Proverbs 21:5)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333399;\">To humans belong the <strong>plans\u00a0<\/strong>of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue. (Proverbs 16:1)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Plans\u00a0<\/strong>fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. (Proverbs 15:22)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their <strong>plans\u00a0<\/strong>from the Lord, who do their work in darkness and think, \u201cWho sees us? Who will know?\u201d (Isaiah 29:15)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333399;\">\u201cFor I know the <strong>plans\u00a0<\/strong>I have for you,\u201d declares the Lord, \u201c<strong>plans\u00a0<\/strong>to prosper you and not to harm you, <strong>plans\u00a0<\/strong>to give you hope and a future.
