This time of year we hear the carols, we see the red and the green, we smell the evergreens, our mouths are feasting on great food and if we are lucky we touch the snow.<\/p>\n
All of our senses are involved in the experience that is Christmas.<\/p>\n
Our emotions, however, can hold sway on our perspective and can cause us to miss out on the most important thing about Christmas: Jesus.<\/p>\n
We can walk around in the darkness of loneliness, sadness, grief, missed joy, loveless, pain, loss, despair, depression, anger, frustration, jealousy and a host of other things that come to mind.<\/p>\n
We do not see. We walk in blindness caused by our own hearts when we fail to hear the\u00a0Good News of the Gospel because of the cacophony in our brains that interferes with the simple message.<\/p>\n
Jesus is here.<\/p>\n
He is the Light of the World.<\/p>\n
He came for us.<\/p>\n
All of us.<\/p>\n
Let Him be your Light this Christmas.<\/p>\n
Come and See.<\/p>\n
The Newborn King awaits.<\/p>\n
Bring\u00a0Him your darkness<\/p>\n
and<\/p>\n
Come into the light.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span>In the beginning was the Word,\u00a0and the Word was with God,\u00a0and the Word was God.<\/em><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0He was with God in the beginning.\u00a0<\/span>Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>In him was life,\u00a0and that life was the light\u00a0of all mankind.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0The light shines in the darkness,\u00a0and the darkness has not overcome\u00a0it.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n The true light\u00a0that gives light to everyone\u00a0was coming into the world.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>He was in the world, and though the world was made through him,\u00a0the world did not<\/strong> recognize him.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.\u00a0<\/span>Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed\u00a0in his name,\u00a0he gave the right to become children of God-<\/span><\/strong><\/em>children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband\u2019s will, but<\/em> born of God.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The Word became flesh\u00a0and made his dwelling among us.
