It\u2019s 5-minute Friday time again! Today\u2019s prompt is:<\/span><\/p>\n

Look<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Look. \u201cLook at me!\u201d the child inside says. The adult in me says \u201cDon\u2019t look at me!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I am uncomfortable with attention, yet I crave affirmation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The truth is \u2013 inside \u2013 I really want you to look at me, to see me for the real me, not just the package I\u2019m wrapped in.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because I\u2019m very insecure inside this wrapper. I need someone to say I see the real you and I like you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are like me \u2013on the inside- I suspect there will be a lot of us at Allume next week \u2013 we will all be looking for the real us inside the wrappers we are wrapped in.<\/span><\/p>\n

May I make a request? Will you make your wrapper fit the real you? So I can see and recognize the sisters I long for when I look at you?<\/span><\/p>\n
