It’s Friday and it’s time to do that 5 minute thingy again. And the subject is, indeed, again.<\/span><\/p>\n

AGAIN<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lots of snippets of songs have begun to run through my head with that word jumping out at me…. like-oh, nevermind.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Again- indicates I’ve been here before. I’m repeating something – again. And the first thought that jumps in my head is again in relation to my prayer life. This word doesn’t often have a positive indication in my prayer life. When I’m bringing something back to the foot of the Throne of Heaven for the umpteenth time I feel like I’ve become a broken record. I want to mark it off my “list”. To write completed by it on the page. To move on. I’m ready to tackle a new problem.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But- God has a different agenda. By my persistence, and bringing those things before Him again and again and again He is teaching me.<\/span><\/p>\n

He doesn’t see it the way the grandson sees the story grandpa is telling in The Princess Bride: “again with the kissing, stop with the kissing already!”\u00a0Nope.<\/span><\/p>\n

God sees me learning to walk by faith and not by what I see around me. He is gracious with my apparent lack of intelligence when I continue to make the same mistakes over and over and over. When I breathe the same prayer. When I beg \u201cplease?\u201d When I fall on my face in a pool of tears. When my brain is scrambled and my heart is frantic.<\/span><\/p>\n

He sees. He hears. He answers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
