It’s five minute Friday again over at Lisa-Jo’s and today’s prompt is:
Imagine
Yes, the song did just start in my head- and then it hit me- how sad to imagine no Heaven or earth. While I love the tune and the concept of living together in harmony and peace. I just can’t imagine it here on this earth in this time.
I do imagine what Heaven will be like; but since I have the blueprint in scripture, it’s not exactly what I would have dreamed up myself it’s infinitely better.
I do imagine this world without wars, natural disasters, famines, the poor, hunger, disease, and illness; but since I have the blueprint in scripture, I know that they are the reality.
I do imagine a world without sin and consequence; but since I have the blueprint in scripture, I know that’s wishful thinking.
I do imagine being someday face to face with my Jesus, to see Him come for me; and because I have the blueprint in scripture, I know that someday will come.
I do imagine that my name is in the Book, that beside it the only comment is “Paid in Full”; and because I have the blueprint in scripture, I know that it’s true.
Someday my imaginings will be fact. Until then I’ll read the blueprint in the scripture that tells me what I need to know about the mansion He’s preparing for me, in a place I can only wildly imagine without it.
